About Me

Hello, my name is Bella Spah, and I am currently a sophomore at Drake University, located in Des Moines, IA. I am pursuing a degree in Digital Media Production and have recently added a minor in Marketing to broaden my skill set. My ultimate goal is to work in the music industry and utilize my knowledge in both fields to excel in my career.

Music is my passion, and I can play the guitar and piano (read more in my recent blog – “Guitar Mania”. Additionally, I love to write songs, and I am continuously learning about music production and audio engineering techniques to enhance my abilities. I have been able to pursue my passion for music while simultaneously honing my skills in digital media production and marketing. The music industry has always been a dream career path for me, and my academic pursuits have provided me with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in this field.

My interests extend beyond music. I am also passionate about digital media production and marketing. During my time at Drake, I have taken various courses that have helped me refine my skills in video production, audio writing and production, journalism writing, and marketing strategies. 

Brand Media Planning

My favorite class thus far has been Brand Media Planning, where I had the opportunity to utilize my digital media skills and combine them with marketing tactics to effectively promote a brand program that I was leading as a project manager. I loved planning the project while also getting hands-on experience in each area of work. I completed a successful mock-up rebranding project that showcases my creativity and ability to execute marketing strategies. This project required a deep understanding of brand identity, customer personas, and market trends, which are all essential skills for any marketing professional. The beauty of digital media and marketing is the endless opportunities to try new things and constantly learn.

Audience Research

In addition to my technical skills, I also specialize in audience research. This includes market research, data analysis, and consumer psychology to identify and understand a brand’s target audience, as well as finding the most effective ways to reach them. My experience in the music and entertainment industry allows me to utilize these skills for personal, product, and service branding. I’ve honed my skills in audience research, market research, and data analysis to identify and reach target audiences effectively. My experience in the music and entertainment industry has given me a unique perspective on building and promoting a brand that resonates and drives results.

My focus on digital media and marketing is particularly relevant in today’s digital age, where brands must have a strong online presence to remain competitive. My knowledge of multimedia and marketing, combined with experience in the music and entertainment industry, gives me a diverse skill set that can be applied to a wide range of industries and applications.
